Sharpfibre wins Specialist Award for Fire Protection

Sharpfibre is celebrating picking up the prize for Specialist contractor in the category of Fire protection at the Construction News awards 2009. Having narrowly missed out on the top spot last year, it was rewarding to be recognised for their hard work and effort achieved in these testing times. To win this award, sponsored by the ASFP, was by no means easy with Sharpfibre beating off four other finalists from an initial list of fifteen other entrants. The judge panel which consisted of industry figureheads including Sir Michael Latham recognised Sharpfibre’s history and underscored its relevance today. “Sharpfibre is a company that knows its business extremely well” they said. The award was presented to Sales and Marketing Director, Gareth Dean, who said “without the hard work of our staff this award would have not been possible and therefore it is to all our people that this award recognises”.
