Sharpfibre lands contract to construct Promat DURASTEEL^® barriers at T5, Heathrow

Carillion Building has awarded Promat licensed installer, Sharpfibre, the contract to construct seven new Promat DURASTEEL^® barriers inside the new satellite building T5C at London Heathrow airport. T5C is the latest major development at Heathrow which will compliment terminals T5A and T5B and allow increased and quicker passenger movements at the high profile project. All seven barriers are to be constructed within the baggage handling tunnels that run below the apron level providing fire protection of 120 minutes insulation and integrity. This award follows the successful installation of Promat DURASTEEL^® at other BAA airports including T5A, Terminals 3 and 4 and Stansted airport.
