Carillion Building has awarded Promat licensed installer, Sharpfibre, the contract to construct seven new Promat DURASTEEL^® barriers inside the new satellite building T5C at London Heathrow airport.

Promat DURASTEEL^® systems have been used to protect people and property against the risk of fire and blast for nearly 50 years. More recently, a number of Promat DURASTEEL^® barrier systems have been installed to prevent catastrophic damage in the event of power transformer blasts.

Following the success of the Promat Fire Day 2008 industry event, Promat UK are pleased to announce that the Promat Fire Day 2009 will take place at Ascot Racecourse on Tuesday 30th June.

Sharpfibre is celebrating picking up the prize for Specialist contractor in the category of Fire protection at the Construction News awards 2009.
